Anybody else been killin' off these dumbass flies that suddenly appear when the weather starts gettin' nice, like they've been hibernating in your closet or basement or some shit...and they emerge and start flyin around hitting walls, all still half asleep n' shit?

You can practically walk right up and pick them up....they're like..."Woaahzz maaaanzz, there'zzz somezzbodyzz comingzzz"...and they try and freak out and fly away, but they just trip and land in your hand anyways....that's when I walk em' to the door and say FUCK OFF and let em' go outside....either that, or I feed em' to my dog Daisy, she tells me they taste like chicken.
I may have alzheimer's...But at least I don't have alzheimer's

LOL!!!

I hate those flys. The odd one you see in the middle of the winter is like that too. Huge in size and humming around as if they're running out of fuel. ick.

Yup, an asian variant of the beetle that bites was brought over and they cross-bred with our simple friendly ladybugs...now they all freakin' bite...

Or, read this:

Well, thanks for that PS. Now that I read that, I remember seeing one of these orange beetles in my sister's field in the summer. It didn't bite me, but I was surprised at its very plain yellowy colour.

Cocksucker!!  I had one bite me the other morning on the arm and it woke me up!!  Little bastards.

Back a few summers ago there was a huge infestation...they got in the house and bred like motherfuckers and then there were millions of them it seemed and I was down there vaccumming them up with the shop vac and to this day I still haven't gotten rid of them all.....

What, are these fuckin' bettles like cockroaches?? they live forever or some shit????

Man, of to the library to get me a book on horvaculture.

Where i live, you know it's summer when the "Flying Ants" arrive. They are actually a "Carpenter Ant", and have wings for the first day or two.....then they drop them. They then like to get into your house. When I was young we got an infestation....at night when it was quiet you could actually hear them chewing!

They are huge, hard to kill and get into everything.
Hate em.

That is insane! I'd never be able to sleep. How did you (your parents) deal with the infestation?

It was insane and I didn't sleep! They also have a nasty habit of "dropping" from the ceiling.

And then, to signal the end of the summer, we get the flying termites for 2 weeks.Almost as big but twice as clumbsy. At least less of them get into the house.

*does involuntary skin crawling shake*  Ewww, you could actually hear them chewing....ah, I wouldn't be able to sleep in that house.  I live in an old farm house and I have every crack, crevice and place wear I think bugs could get in either taped up or caulked.  I have this "thing" about bugs crawling on me while I'm sleeping in my house.    I could sleep outside under the stars and give two shits about the bugs, because i'm in their environment,  but when I'm in my bed and in my house...that is a definite no-no....no bugs allowed in my house!  I'm a real freak about keeping my house bug-less.

I have a humungous chemical storage cabinet in my basement where I keep all my bug killing supplies...   One of my bestest buds is an exterminator and has his own business, so I go and raid his truck of all his secrect bug killing traps and potions.

You're not alone, beav!  Or, rather, should I say, "YAY, I'm not alone?"

I think the same way, if I'm outside, so what, it's their world.  In my house, especially in bed, I have a conniption if I see even a fly on my wall. :P

I was in Cuba last summer and in the evening a lot of mosquitoes come out. Before going to bed I'd go hunting and kill everything in my hotel room. I'm not sleeping in a room full of mosquitoes. "DING! DING! DING! Come and get it. All night, all you can eat buffet."
