TPB script up for sale again
« on: Apr 05, 2005, 09:09 AM »
Hopefully this won't start another shit storm, but someone is reselling their script for 'Never Cry Shitwolf' on ebay:
http://cgi.ebay.ca/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=18840&item=4715545403&rd=1
I just thought I'd let anyone know who already hasn't seen it & who was interested in getting a script when they were originally up for sale but didn't.

Hard for it to start a shit storm considering that it's Ghostdog selling the script that =mj= gave him! Good luck to whoever is gonna bid on it. Just to let =mj= know..... I would NEVER sell mine!

Did GD buy the script from MJ or was it a gift? Just curious.

He gave it to me,  and unfortunatly we(my wife and I) are in dire need of money right now and I'm getting rid of anything that can bring us in some money for food and rent. Believe me =mj= understands,  and believe me if you were in my shoes right now you would do the same.

It's GD's to do with as he pleases, but I myself (as well) would never sell mine.  It makes a great conversation piece, not to mention a great coffeee table protector for hot foods and drink

edit:

Only read your post now, GD.  You're right, I would, too, if I had to.  And I just knew you would have "talked it over" with =mj= before selling it (I had a stong feeling you did, cuz that's the kind of guy you are :) ).  So sorry to hear about your situation :(

You're absolutely right GD....it's yours and you can do whatever you like with it. If you talked it over with =mj=  and he's okay with it.... that's cool too. Sorry to hear that you are hard up for money for food and rent but why would you post this this morning? Just curious.

You should sell it to someone on the .org or pawn it to someone here. We should be able to help each other out.

Too late now, he's already had to give up his first born in eBay listing fees...  :P

I'm thinking, though, if there is ever a next time that any one of us has to sell off some TPB memorabelia (or something else that might be of interest to anyone here), maybe start a new thread and post links to photos of the item.  Do a "silent auction" sort of thing by PM'g the person with what they'd pay for it, then...ack!! Okay, getting to complicated now, forget I said that.

Hence the reason GD probably opted for eBay.  not only is the seller protected from non-paying winning bidders, but there's also no animosity between strangers if the deal goes sour :)

JMHO, of course!  All of my opinions are "humble" ones, unless I state "JMFO"

I... being one of those bastards.
If you wanted to win something bad enough...and knew how to do it...and didn't make a "gentleman's spoken deal" with anyone??  I still get smoked on Ebay from time to time too and it's a drag..... I hear ya Ranger. I'm gonna pass on this auction so if you get smoked ...it wasn't me.

And yeah...It did get ugly the last time this came up and feelings got pretty hurt including mine so let's just wish everyone the best of luck & happy selling/bidding.

And one more thing......

The last thing =MJ= wanted ( or even thought would happen ) was for his original script auction a while back on Ebay to cause bad vibes between .Orgsters. He felt bad when it happened and was kind enough to try and make it right by sending Ghostdog and JR a gift. He didn't have to....it's just testament to what a cool brother he is.

But typicaly....that's why celebs aren't that cool with their fans as we/they would want to be. They've learned that no matter their good intentions.......it's never enough.

It's safer to please no one rather than try to please everyone.

I don't want the cast of TPB to ever think that way about us. So let's be cool too!  :D

I'd sell my boyfriend before I sold my script though.......he'd understand too.
You might be sexy Julian....but you can't teach me anything about liquor....

GD, I think you were rude to JR.  You were so upset about not having the winning bid on E-Bay that you said goodbye to the org and threw out a few comments to others, remember?  Then MJ sends you a script as a present and all is well and good (seriously, good for you).  Now, you're selling it and questioning why people are wondering why?  Natural curiousity and concern for you comes to mind and you answered that question.

Very true.

As for me commenting on this .. it's a public board.  And I'm bored.
Heh.

Don't you hate it when people you really like rub each other the wrong way?  I think PS's idea of offering TPB items here at the ORG for a "silent" PM auction has merit - the member could just post the most recent high bid with no names - might get even better prices - since there is a lot of love on the board - and everything goes to good homes. Intersting idea.
I'd play and pay

 :D Cheers!

At first I saw that "JP" as "JR" and I thought WTF - another late-breaking news item here at the ORG  !
I guess that $69. bid had more of a point  !

Hahha, I likes JR but not as much as JP!!  Oh, and I like him in totally different ways, ya know .. for instance, JP pumps gas at an illegal gas station wearing all black and glistening in the mid-day sun and JR ... well, she probably just pumps gas.   :P

Cheers,
