2015 Stanley Cup Finals
« on: Jun 01, 2015, 11:08 PM »
Y'know, I'm not really a fan of any of the Chicago teams. And I like Chicago and all, but sometimes some of their people come here to Detroit and are really snotty. And Tampa Bay does have Stevie Y in the front office.
But having said all that... no way can I root for a team that far down in the south where there's barely any appreciation of hockey. I'm going for an Original 6 team... go Chicago Shithawks!
And Shitrock's in the cradle and J-Roc's hoes
Little Bobandy and the way that she goes
When ya get outta jail, son? Dad, I don't know when
But we'll get drunk and eat chicken fingers then, Dad.
We'll get drunk and eat chicken fingers then

Yeah I don't really have a favorite out of the two teams, which makes it kind of different when you are watching the games.  I am just hoping it is good entertaining hockey.  I do have players I like on both teams, I hope they do well.

I was in Chicago last weekend, May 30th, for the Cubs game, rained out!  But plenty of People in Wrigleyville for the Black Hawks game 7.  If not for being in Chi-town for a Cub game, who are the Black Hawks?  Canada and the US are not on the same plain with Hockey.  It's very regional in the US.  Unless it was 1980 and the US Olympic team v the Ruskkies.

Then is was National Honor, USA, USA, USA, USA

The lightning are locally referred by some as 'da bolts' ironically stealing a Chicago style call.
This Town is literally nowhere's near a hockey environment. :freezing:  I can't get excited about something that not one single local kid will break in to as a career.   I don't care beyond a passing interest if the cup comes to Tampa again.  Sorry if any other Floridians here are big fans, but 'whatever'.

You should get into hockey more c, Tampa does have a great team and it is by far the best sport in the world.

Just to be clear, I like hockey better in the winter. Natural settings and all.
I do follow the Red Wings when they are having a good season too.

But generally speaking, I'm not a big sports fan.
