So sad right now.  :(  Such an integral part of the show, especially in the later seasons.  Will definitely be missed.

Also, looking at the outtakes from his seasons,it seems that HIS HUGE BELCHES WERE REAL!  Unless they dubbed them into the outtakes, it seems Mr. Collins was actually one of the great all time belchers!

Very sad. My wife and I had the privilege of hanging out with Rick last summer, when he was kind enough to show us around the NS coast. I was hoping to see him again on our next trip to Halifax. A great man, a great actor, and a great loss.

Good to know about Torrens' belching abilities -- good rapper too. You down with double-negatives?

Wow, one year ago today. RIP big fella.

And kinda fitting his last appearance (in TPB3) will be hitting theatres this week. I bet his first scene in the movie will raise a round of applause from the audience.

I miss Rick. It was great to hang out with him and listen to all his stories. He really knew how to spin a yarn. Not sure how I feel about seeing him in the movie tonight. I'm sure he'll make me smile, once again.

The MT was a great addition to the Sunnyvale community.  But seeing him in the few brief cuts of TPB3 trailers, very reduced in a wheelchair, grey and muttering, it's pretty plain to see that his body was winding down, his time was running out, his number was coming up.  It's sad, but at least he died at the end of his life and not long before it, like so many less-fortunate people.  It's sad to lose someone, but sometimes it is the natural thing.  I'll bet he's eating a cheeseburger even as I write this.  Lots for the customers, buddy!

I hope there's a touching scene about his passing in season 8. I think I saw Jacob is going to be in it. What about Thomas?

No matter how many episodes continue the TPB saga it will always lose something when actors/characters like Phil depart this world.  Shitty Bill as well.  I know it's the march of time but we just don't expect it we never want anything to change.

Don't Legalize It was bittersweet in this regard.  Phil's scenes made it hard to stay focused on the story.
