Saw my first show this past  November in Kitchener too. As cool as it was to meet some people for free, I'd have paid to meet them in the warmth. You know Josh, it was freezing that night, and we waited for an hour and a half in the cold. I'm hoping the next time they come around it's a little warmer out

When I saw them in Brantford we stayed inside after the show in the main lobby and the boys came out to talk to everyone which was a better deal. It was kind of cold that night after the Kitchener show! lol. Still worth it though.

The boys really don't see money from the ticket sales, and there's overhead they have to pay for merch (to get the stuff made and all).  Their biggest money maker is the meet and greet passes - $50 a pop, and they get the cash that very night from it.  I think that's MORE than reasonable for the amount of happiness these boys have given us over the years, and the fact that they've kept the boys going live is great and I'm sure comes with some sacrifices.  Plus, after meeting them, you'll get a memory that's going to last a lifetime, and in my case, I got my Cheeseburger Locker complete series boxed set signed, and that will always from now and ever more be the most important part of my DVD collection.

I would have assumed the money went to the venues so thats good if they get it. I guess it also helps to keep things to a reasonable size as well. I have my Big Dirty and countdown to liqour day discs signed as well which is pretty awesome!

mzupeman:
The promoters pay for the venue and that gets reimbursed by the ticket sales, I believe.  The Meet and Greet is just like buying something at the merch booth, basically.  And they insist on cash because it goes to the boys, I'm sure.
