Topic: Where is the Van Allen Dentention centre

Where is the Van Allen  Dentention centre? This is one location they've used for years and I have no clue where this place might be. Anyone from around there know? I bet Tiggy knows

I did a search here on the Org and found

I was driving home (to Halifax) from Bag Town (Sackville) with my mom and she took a wrong turn, the wrong turn led her to the long way to Dartmouth. I dont know what the street (or highway) was called but while we were driving down it I saw something fimilair. IT WAS VAN ALLEN CORRECTION CENTRE! I was stunned. It looks so cool to see off camera. I would've got a picture but we drove by way to fast.

Perhaps a local can fill you in on more exact details.  As I understand it used to be a real jail but not anymore.

That was likely at the "jail" they used at the set of the trailer park in Cole Harbour, it used to be a rehab centre, a bunch of us had our pics taken there.

I asked a former TPB cast member and even they didn't know, just rambled on about Van Allen radiation fields while rocking gently back and forth and swigging on a bottle of cheap spirits.
