Definitely a screen resolution issue.  All the monitors I have at home are widescreen (laptop) and running very high, wide resolutions (1680x1050).

1024x768 is considered the bare minimum these days for what most web designers will make their layouts appear properly on. 

I currently have the width of the forum set to 70% of the page width to try and make things not tiny for people with larger monitors/resolutions, while still appearing decent for someone without. I can set that to a higher percentage and see if it helps.

Being a widescreen user myself I found it nice to have a decent amount of wood paneling on the sides rather than stretching the entire forum layout to the width of the page. For people who read lots it's a decent amount of eye movement going from side to side on a larger/wide monitor than reading things in more of a column layout.

Fuck, I've been busy! I haven't had a chance to pop in for awhile. Work...moving plans...kids...home...foundling kitty...house kitty...Cavs going to round two of the playoffs...Stanley Cup race (still don't know who I want to take it home yet; just not Pittsburgh!) Anyway, you get the point.  :roll:

Will we be getting the "Shout Box" back? I miss that.

From what I understand the shout box & arcade should back in the not to distant future.  I like Fishy would like to see the smiley's return as part of the quick reply option.  I would like to see the YouTube option return as well. If any kind of resolution setting was conducted I do not notice any difference. It's no big deal really except for when someone posts photos they hang over on the right side of the board as well.

Shoutbox will hopefully get re-added soon.. again I'm at the mercy of the developer to update the shoutbox to work with the new forum software. Kinda was a tough call to make upgrading the forum knowing we'd lose some of the perks for a while.  But the forum really needed it as the last version we used was over 4 years old! (avoided upgrading the past few years due to all my custom mods)

Same with the arcade.. Just waiting for it to be ready for this version of the forum software.
