Just wanted to welcome everyone back to the ORG..

I tried to make the change as quick, and problem free as possible for everyone.

Unfortunately there was a bit of data loss of some avatars/attachments from early early on (2003-2004 ish) when upgrading the forum software from such an old version to the newest available.  So I do apologize to anyone affected, but really this needed to be done and there's no other way around it.  Otherwise things have gone pretty well on my end with the switch over.

I'll still be working on adding the features you're used to (Arcade, Lounge Shoutbox, etc..) but will be at the mercy of the developers of these addons as the forum software was just updated again and many of them have not yet made the changes for their addons to work. 

You'll also notice the Photo Gallery is missing.  Rest assured the photos are safe!  However over the years hosting these large galleries ourselves has put a good amount of strain on the server, bandwidth, as well as the diskspace.  Anytime I've changed hosting providers I've had to pick a package that has enough storage & bandwidth to handle the load, however it's expensive and doesn't give the best performance on a forum-based site such as this.  In an effort to save a little cash, and provide a better, faster, more reliable experience on the forums I've taken the gallery down and will be looking for alternate means to store and serve these files back to the TPB fans & community (flickr, picasa, social, integration with forums, etc..)

Now it's time to get drunk as fuck!


PS:  This thread can serve as a spot to point out any issues you're having with the new setup.  If you notice the site loading quicker, slower, etc..

Thank you so much for upgrading the ORG CD. You know how much this place means to all of us. The downtime was bearable because of the "maintenance" message. No cold sweats here.

Wow! Up faster than expected... this looks cool.

My only problem is I tried to update my sig image and I got an error "The following BBC is not allowed within your signature..." I was using img tags so not sure how I messed up!

This is my first attempt to post since the change, but so far so good. The only thing I noticed was that the logo was REALLY big. Then again, I am on my 3rd drinkie-poo,  ;)

That's funny, I have always been able to see the signatures and avatars.  I had to upload my avatar again because like cat-dog said above some didn't transfer over.  I can still see both by the way with all of the tweaking here and there.
