Afghan Luke and The Burgundy of Hash is a dark comedy about a Canadian journalist in Afghanistan.

It's directed by Mike Clattenburg and produced by Clattenburg, Barrie Dunn and Mike Volpe.

For those of you on twitter, we have a page where we will be posting quotes from the movie, as well as details about the shoot and the release.
We will soon have a myspace page and facebook group too where we will be making announcements about casting, and other exciting news!

I'm following AfghanLuke on twitter and really looking forward to seeing it. Make sure you update us with the facebook and myspace information. Am I to understand the first week of the shoot is in Halifax?

Coincidentally, I was one of the first people to follow Afghan Luke on twitter because I was already following Mike C. and yeah there are already some pretty interesting quotes on it.  "One thing's for sure, those fuckers'll never stop growin' dope.""Technically it's a war crime!""Who gives a fuck about a finger?" haha pretty funny.

I need to get my ass on Twitter more often; I am notoriously bad and keeping up. I am following the movie on FB and as soon as I get outta here, I will be on Twitter. I've seen some of the quotes too; good stuff.

Just got back from today's shoot and it was quite a bit of fun. Not much sitting around. Some TPB people on set today. I gave Andy Smith a ride home after the shoot. He was Alex Lifeson's partner in Liquor day as well as the drunken arresting officer towards the end of the movie. Mike O'Neill was doing sound and Clatty was directing. He was really awesome today. Even came over and talked to me for a while. Got a good few minutes in with his wife too. Barry Dunn was also there but I didn't get a chance to chat with him.
Very short day for me, 5 hours on set is rare.

That's cool that you are filming in BC. How long will you be here? Good thing the weather is cooperating.  8)

Wonderful to steal a couple of minutes to talk with you too. Definitely keep us up to speed with how things are going. Mike was saying the location in B.C. is perfect for the film. Maybe a couple of pic's?

Hmmm, Lewis Black mentioned in an interview that he is going to be playing himself in a 'movie about Afghanistan' (although he mentions it's by the Trailer Park Boys...!) I assume this is Afghan Luke?!

If any one is in the Cache Creek or Kamloops area and wants to apply to be an extra on the movie...
